Jean-Conrad-Guillaume Petiscus, a preacher and amateur violinist from Berlin, notably served as the editor for the final edition of Leopold Mozart’s violin method, published by Riihnel in Leipzig, according to the Biographie universelle des musiciens et bibliographie générale de la musique, Vol. 7 (1866). This work, described as a “method of violin,” was also translated into German by Petiscus from the Paris Conservatoire’s method.
